The Flower of Life symbol The Flower of Life is a symbol considered to be sacred among many cultures. At first sight, there are 19 concentric circles. However, within this symbol all the building blocks of the universe known as the Platonic Solids can be found. It represents a metaphor which illustrates the connection between life and spirit within the universe. The Flower of Life symbol has been found in many places around the planet. We can get an approximate idea of its minimum age from the middle Osirian temple at Abydos, Egypt, where this symbol is found. It has also been found in Masada, Israel, Mount Sinai and in many temples of Japan, China and more recently in India.
Our thinking Each petal represents an activity of the conscience which elevates the soul and awakens the internal spiritual organs or chackras Positivism: All our thoughts and emotions must be positive. A person must be capable of looking at the bright side of everything. Once negativism is transcended, the world is transformed and it becomes beautiful, loving, blissful, nearly celestial. Look for the good, the beautiful, the real. Concentration: Thought control. Our thoughts should not be produced at random. We must lead the flow of our thoughts and of our emotions as well. We should be the masters of our minds and we should submit all the elements emerging unwillingly so as to train our power of thought. Action control, or orientation of our will: We should develop strength, determination and stamina in our life. Whenever we make a decision we should carry it out without falling apart as long as the intention is honorable and worthy. Don't wonder around like leaf blown by the wind. Obey your internal commands. Bear always in mind that repetition of specific acts strengthens the will. Develop internal tranquility. This involves serenity of spirit or equanimity of feelings. Nothing should unbalance your life or destroy your serenity for long. This is the real meaning of the expression "to go along with the flow". Our internal activity brings about emotional calmness and internal peace, and it also triggers mental strength and stable character. Politeness is the essence of internal life. Get rid of prejudices and tolerate other people's opinions. This means to listen carefully and to eliminate or keep judgments for ourselves. One should be willing to listen to anybody and to learn from anybody, even from the poorer. This open attitude free of prejudices, work wonders to expand and illuminate the internal life and to stimulate the growth of our soul's light. Develop a deep gratitude towards life and gifts and opportunities offered to us every single moment. Life itself is a gift made possible by the acts of innumerable beings. Natural kingdoms provide us with abundance of beauty. The land and the skies form a huge house of treasures. Our heart should beat with gratitude toward the whole life. This state of permanent gratitude elevates the soul, fills us with happiness, and elevate us to heavenly areas. Love does not weigh anything.
